HomesWale (“we”, “us”) runs www.homeswale.com, a property portal where owners, dealers and builders list property and people search for property. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile photo from your Google account. You also give us your mobile number, account type (owner / dealer / builder), and optionally your age, gender, profile photo, company name and RERA number. You can edit these any time on your profile page.
  • Listing data: property details, location, price, photos and the contact name you provide.
  • Activity data: listings you view contacts for (“leads”), reports you submit, and basic technical logs such as IP address and device/browser type for security.

2. Why we use it

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in with Google.
  • To publish your listing and show it to people searching for property.
  • To share your contact number with logged-in users who ask to contact you about your listing, and to show you who contacted you.
  • To review listings, prevent fraud and spam, and respond to complaints.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the portal (for example cloud hosting and SMS delivery), and with authorities when required by law.

3. What others can see

Published listings (details, photos, contact name, area/locality) are public. Your mobile number is shown only to logged-in users who choose to view it for a specific listing. Do not put personal details you don't want shared in photos or descriptions.

4. How long we keep data

We keep account data while your account is active. Deleted listings are removed from public view immediately and erased from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.

5. Your rights

You can access and correct your data from your account, delete your listings at any time, and ask us to delete your account or withdraw consent by writing to the Grievance Officer below. We will respond within the time required by law.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads on some pages. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not share your phone number or listing contact details with advertisers.

6. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), Google sign-in (we never see your Google password), access controls and reputable cloud providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your Google account secure.
